Tetra Tech has secured a position on a $200 million multiple-award contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for architectural and engineering design services.
The five-year contract is intended to assist USACE’s Great Lakes and Ohio River Division with enhancing inland navigation and flood risk management infrastructure and rejuvenating aquatic ecosystems, Tetra Tech announced from its Pasadena, California headquarters on Tuesday.
Dan Batrack, chairman and CEO of Tetra Tech, highlighted the company’s over three decades of experience providing USACE with key services for water resources infrastructure improvement across the nation.
“We look forward to using our Leading with Science approach to design innovative solutions that improve critical infrastructure, support public safety, and restore the surrounding riverine environment,” he said.
Under the contract, Tetra Tech will design and deliver technical services to support improvements for locks, dams, levees, hydraulic systems and waterways while revitalizing ecosystems. Specific responsibilities include developing site assessments, master plans and infrastructure modernization and ecosystem restoration offerings. The company will also execute feasibility studies and collect and analyze data.
In February, Tetra Tech won an additional USACE award also valued at $200 million. The company’s contracting work currently supports the Army, Air Force and other federal organizations stationed within the Republic of Korea through the preparation of engineering design documents and program management support.
More recently, Tetra Tech received contracts from multiple other agencies, including a $48 million contract from the U.S. Agency for International Development to develop a predictive analytics-based learning system to examine data for the agency’s Ethiopia Mission. Shortly after, the enterprise was awarded a $65 million Environmental Protection Agency to remediate public health and environmental risks caused by abandoned Uranium Mines on Navajo land.
