Software developer QuSecure has landed its second phase award from the U.S. Army under the Small Business Innovation Research program to continue researching and developing post-quantum cybersecurity technologies for the U.S. government.
Phase II will involve creating quantum-resilient software and encryption tools for tactical edge and tactical internet of military things, the California-based PQC company said Thursday.
Contract funding is expected to amount to more than $2 million.
Aaron Moore, head of engineering at QuSecure, remarked, the company will assist the Army with the modernization of its combat fighting capabilities required in today’s warfare landscape.
In June 2022, QuSecure received a contract award for the procurement of its PQC offering called QuProtect as part of the third phase of the SBIR program with the Air Force.
