Space Forge has tapped Andrew Parlock, former ICEYE director, to lead the U.K.-headquartered satellite developer’s newly-established manufacturing operations in the United States.
Parlock’s appointment as managing director is in line with Space Forge’s strategic expansion of partnerships, and plan to capitalize on the increasing interest in super materials in the U.S., the company said Wednesday.
A space and business development veteran, Parlock brings over two decades of experience in advancing commercial space and defense strategy. He previously served as director of new business at ICEYE, where he helped expand its commercial presence and partnerships across the defense, intelligence and international markets.
Parlock also worked as senior account manager for space resiliency and advanced programs for Northrop Grumman‘s space system business.
He currently acts as a part-time board member for Baltimore-based national technology non-profit NPower.
“Andrew’s background across microelectronics, satellites and serving defense and civil clients is the perfect blend for the way we are building our capabilities,” said John Western, CEO and co-founder of Space Forge.
