Lockheed Subsidiary ForwardEdge ASIC Appoints Brian Sutterfield as CEO - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Brian Sutterfield, former systems engineering director at Lockheed Martin‘s aeronautics business, has been named as CEO of Lockheed subsidiary ForwardEdge ASIC, he announced in a LinkedIn post on Friday.

ForwardEdge was established in a bid to fortify Lockheed’s design capabilities in application-specific integrated circuit and microelectronics, Sutterfield said.

He spent most of his career at Lockheed, starting out as a system and software engineer in the air traffic management division in 1997. He was assigned to various roles, including as technical director of the F-35 integrated core processor, tactical avionics chief engineer, and director of integrated mission processing.

In 2011, he became part of New Wave Components Strategic Solutions Group as president and chief information officer of new wave design and verification.
