Mac Thornberry, former representative for Texas’ 13th congressional district and chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, has joined the advisory board of defense and space technology manufacturing company CesiumAstro.
He will serve as a strategic adviser and provide guidance on national security matters as the company expands its services to the intelligence community and Department of Defense organizations, Austin, Texas-based CesiumAstro said Tuesday.
In addition to his over 25-year stint with HASC, Thornberry was a member of the House Intelligence Committee for 14 years.
“His considerable expertise in national security, as well as the immense impact he has had on the state of Texas, will be an enormous asset to our company as we continue to scale our capabilities and expand our reach,” said Shey Sabripour, founder and CEO of CesiumAstro.
“CesiumAstro looks forward to working closely with the Congressman to advance our technologies within the U.S. government.”
