Tanja Guerra has been appointed as chief human resources officer of Alpha Omega Integration as part of the company’s growth strategy.

Her appointment aligns with Alpha Omega’s priorities for its expansion, which include organizational maturity, client relationships, quality and talent management, the Vienna, Virginia-based organization announced on Tuesday.

Gautam Ijoor, CEO of Alpha Omega, said that Guerra will deliver an enterprise-wide leadership and talent strategy and provide the company’s teams with career development, upskilling, certification, internship, partnership, succession planning and culture implementation opportunities.

He emphasized Alpha Omega’s accelerated growth and the need for the company to continue embracing the values that have propelled it to “this next-level playing field.”

Guerra’s areas of expertise include government contracting, culture strategy, change management and full HR lifecycle attraction as well as talent management, development and retention.

Prior to joining Alpha Omega, she served as vice president of human resources for Parsons’ defense and intelligence sector. Earlier, Guerra was VP of HR for Science Applications International Corp. and a strategic HR business partner and director of talent management at Engility.

She launched her career with CACI in 2003, where she began as an intern and climbed upward through various roles during her 13 years with the organization.

Outside of her private sector roles, Guerra serves on the Virginia Chamber of Commerce Workforce and Education Executive Committee. She has been granted several certifications, including the Harvard Kennedy School in Executive Education and the Wharton Executive Education CHRO program.

“I look forward to working with CEO Gautam Ijoor and his leadership team to build on an impressive HR foundation. These are exciting times for HR, with the focus on digital transformation, especially the opportunity to utilize AI,” said Guerra.

“However, we must remember that while technology can enable a growth culture; only authentic leadership can create a culture of belonging. How we facilitate change and inclusion will be key to maintaining the strong culture that Alpha Omega has built over the past six years,” she stressed.
