NASA intends to issue sole-source awards to extend the delivery of cargo and scientific experiments to the International Space Station under the Cargo Resupply Services 2 contracts awarded in 2016.

The agency’s Johnson Space Center plans to continue acquiring ISS cargo delivery and ground support services through the CRS-2 contracts from Jan. 1, 2027, through Dec. 31, 2030, according to a notice published Tuesday.

The space agency is asking interested stakeholders to state their capabilities to support the effort and will evaluate the responses to determine whether or not to conduct the procurement on a competitive basis.

Responses are due March 17.

In March 2022, Northrop Grumman and SpaceX each received an order from NASA to conduct six additional resupply missions to the orbiting laboratory through 2026.
