Barbara Graham, a former vice president at General Dynamics‘ information technology arm, has transitioned to Science Applications International Corp. to serve as senior VP of its Navy business unit.
In her new role, Graham will guide strategy, business development and program execution spanning SAIC’s $1 billion portfolio of offerings for Navy and Marine Corps customers, SAIC announced from its Reston, Virginia headquarters on Wednesday.
Bob Genter, president of SAIC’s defense and civilian unit and a 2023 Wash100 Award winner, highlighted Graham’s industry expertise and strong relationships with clients, which he said “will drive results for our Navy and Marine Corps customers.”
“As a growth-minded leader, she will continue building our Navy business, drive organic growth, scale into key sub-markets and focus on developing a new generation of talent and innovative capabilities,” he added.
Graham has a long history of government contracting industry experience and has helmed systems integration and engineering services portfolios for defense and intelligence agencies.
At GDIT, she most recently served as vice president and general manager of the company’s Navy and Marine Corps arm.
Prior to her time at the General Dynamics business, Graham was a senior vice president at CACI and previously, she spent over a decade at BAE Systems in a number of different positions.
Graham’s selection follows another leadership change made last month, in which SAIC elevated company veteran Josh Jackson to senior vice president of its Army sector. In this role, Jackson is currently supervising strategy, business development and program execution for the unit’s portfolio.
In January, SAIC appointed Carolyn Handlon and James Reagan to its board of directors, where these executives now serve on the board’s audit committee. Handlon also joined the board’s nominating and corporate governance committee, while Reagan entered the human resources and compensation committee.
SAIC is sponsoring the Potomac Officers Club’s 2023 Annual Air Force Summit, an event that will bring together public and private sector experts to discuss Air Force strategies, opportunities and priorities as the service branch tackles the changing warfighting landscape.
