Tom Edson has been appointed as chief financial officer of information technology-focused company Alpha Omega Integration, to which he will bring 15 years of industry experience.
Leveraging his history of technology and cybersecurity-focused financial management work, Edson will build upon Alpha Omega’s current growth trajectory by establishing infrastructure and monitoring financial governance and compliance, the Vienna, Virginia-based organization announced on Thursday.
“I am looking forward to my multifaceted role managing contracts, finance, and pricing to support and perpetuate Alpha Omega’s impressive growth and trajectory,” Edson commented.
Alpha Omega CEO Guatam Ijoor emphasized the importance of the CFO and his financial team in assessing merger and acquisition opportunities, which are key parts of Alpha Omega’s expansion strategy.
Prior to joining the company, Edson served in multiple positions simultaneously. The first of these began at VariQ in 2010, where he held the CFO and chief operating officer roles. When the enterprise was acquired by Capgemini, Edson remained in those positions while also assuming the post of principal for VariQ’s new parent organization.
Edson began his government contracting career at PWC, where he worked as a senior associate for nearly four years.

Alpha Omega’s selection of Edson comes on the heels of multiple executive leadership changes within the enterprise over the past few months.
Laks Prabhala joined Alpha Omega in January as and its first-ever chief information security officer d vice president for cybersecurity, where he now works to safeguard federal clients from threats using novel technologies.
The previous month, Alpha Omega appointed Gabe Osiier as senior vice president of core accounts to advance Alpha Omega’s growth efforts.
