Leidos' Gerry Fasano Honored With 4th Consecutive Wash100 Award for Leadership in Defense IT Services & C5ISR Mission Support - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Executive Mosaic is pleased to announce Gerry Fasano, president of the defense group at Leidos, a winner of the 2023 Wash100 Award for his leadership over the company’s continued efforts to bring technological capabilities and services to the national defense mission.

This marks his fourth consecutive selection to the annual list of the government contracting sector’s top 100 influential executives and officials. Cast a vote for him as your favorite awardee at Wash100.com!

“Gerry is well known, established and active in the bustling GovCon community. If you’re looking for a return on limited capture dollars, Gerry is the horse to bet on because of his proven and continuous track record of success,” commented Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the Wash100 Award.

In February 2022, Leidos won the Defense Information Systems Agency’s $11.5 billion contract to consolidate information technology systems across 22 Fourth Estate agencies under the Department of Defense and called the Defense Enclave Services award its largest win to date.

Four months later, Fasano announced the Government Accountability Office’s decision to uphold DISA’s award after rejecting a bid protest.

“Our robust and continuous preparation has positioned us to start delivering benefits to the user base on or ahead of the current planned schedule, and we look forward to leveraging our decades of technological expertise to support mission success,” he said at the time.

The company will also provide rapid technology insertion services to support the DOD’s command, control, computers, communications, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance functions under a $1.5 billion task order awarded in October 2022.

“Leidos has finely tuned our portfolio of expertise and developed a dynamic enterprise suite of C5ISR solutions, including Joint All-Domain Command and Control tools to ensure our warfighters exploit state-of-the-art technology to maintain their decisive advantage and enable joint synergy for operational superiority,” Fasano noted.

In September 2022, Leidos was named to an industry consortium tasked with defining the digital infrastructure for the Department of the Air Force’s Advanced Battle Management System.

Fasano said the company will apply its digital modernization and systems integration experience to help defense agencies bring the JADC2 strategy to reality as a participant in the ABMS Digital Infrastructure Consortium.

Leidos paired its Edge to Cloud technology with Microsoft’s Azure infrastructure to demonstrate possible synchronization between disparate legacy and new military systems at the U.S. Army Project Convergence 22 experimentation campaign.

The Reston, Virginia-based defense contractor will support Defense Health Agency programs via the $10 billion Omnibus Military Medical Research and Development IV contract and will compete for R&D and engineering task orders under an $869 million Army procurement vehicle.

Leidos reported fiscal 2022 third-quarter revenue of $2.08 billion from the defense segment, a 3 percent increase over the prior-year period, and the company attributed the growth to the ramp-up of the Navy’s Next Generation Enterprise Network-Recompete Service, Management, Integration and Transport contract and various force protection programs.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Gerry Fasano and the Leidos organization on their selection to receive the 2023 Wash100 Award. Vote for your favorite leaders of consequence in the government contracting sector at Wash100.com! This year’s Popular Vote competition runs through April 28.
