General Dynamics Unit Receives 1st Order Under $482M Army Sensor Sustainment Contract - top government contractors - best government contracting event

A General Dynamics business has received a $5.5 million initial delivery order from the U.S. Army under a potential five-year, $481.6 million contract to sustain ground-based tactical sensors.

General Dynamics Mission System will deploy field service representatives to ensure the readiness of Prophet Enhanced sensor systems that allow soldiers to access and process signals intelligence data, the company said Thursday.

The system is designed to integrate with military ground vehicles and offers SIGINT and electronic warfare support for some military units.

Under the single-award contract, GDMS will also provide spare parts to the branch and manage obsolescence risks to the sensor technology.

The Army’s product manager for terrestrial spectrum warfare could also task the business to update Prophet Enhanced software, deploy new equipment for training and carry out tech insertion work.
