William “Bill” Lescher, retired U.S. Navy admiral, was tapped by incubation and investment platform Red Cell Partners to work as a senior adviser, and he also joined DEFCON AI, a portfolio company of Red Cell Partners, as a strategic adviser.
The company said Tuesday Lescher served as the vice chief of naval operations and deputy chief of naval operations for integration of capabilities and resources at the Navy, where he led the enhancement of readiness, force generation and institutional learning outcomes.
The Naval Academy alum commanded the Expeditionary Strike Group 5 and Task Forces 51/59 in Bahrain.
“Throughout his remarkable tenure with the Navy, Bill spearheaded initiatives that brought continuous innovation and a ‘Get Real, Get Better’ culture to the Navy that proved transformative,” said Grant Verstandig, Red Cell Partners founder and CEO and DEFCON AI co-founder and executive chairman.
