PCS-Mosaic Holdings has changed its name to Athenix Solutions Group to reflect its expanded resources and growth as a technology company focused on meeting mission readiness, systems development and operational needs of customers in the Department of Defense cyber, national intelligence and special operations communities.
The rebranding effort came after PCS-Mosaic acquired Mosaic and VATC in 2020 and four businesses from ASRC Federal’s defense and intelligence group in April, Athenix said Wednesday.
Athenix will run two strategic business units that will report to CEO Tom Middleton.
The Fulton, Maryland-based Athenix Cyber & SIGINT business will support DOD cyber organizations and Intelligence Community customers in Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, Texas and other sites, while the Tampa, Florida-based Athenix Special Missions segment will serve special operations mission clients in Florida and North Carolina, among other areas.
Middleton said Athenix and its workforce will support government customers and their missions by helping them meet signals intelligence, cyber, frontline intelligence and readiness requirements.
Pierre Chao, a three-time Wash100 awardee, will continue to lead Athenix’s board of directors as chairman, along with Executive Vice Chairman and previous Wash100 Award recipient Gene Colabatistto and Chief Strategy Officer Ron Jones.
