Raytheon Technologies’ intelligence and space division has demonstrated to the U.S. Air Force new enhancements to a communications platform used by the U.S. president and senior government officials.
Upgrades to the Presidential and National Voice Conferencing system include a new conference management capability, enhanced situational awareness, improved voice quality and reduced latency, Raytheon Intelligence and Space said Wednesday.
The demonstration verified functionality and performance of the integrated PNVC components across multiple nodes using airborne, ground transportable and ground fixed configurations.
“We’ve employed digital engineering, more specifically, model-based systems engineering, as well as agile software development, to deliver systems faster and smarter,” said Denis Donohue, president of surveillance and network systems at RI&S.
Raytheon serves as the integrator of the PNVC system under a potential five-year, $86.8 million contract awarded in 2019.
