Carahsoft’s Brian O’Donnell on Helping Agencies Take Holistic Approach to Cybersecurity - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Brian O’Donnell, a vice president at Carahsoft Technology, talked about how the company helps government agency customers shift from endpoint detection and response toward a more holistic approach to cybersecurity.

With the executive orders that came out this year and the instruction towards zero trust, we’ve seen that some of those EDR implementations help to meet some of the mandates but it’s not enough,” O’Donnell told FedScoop in a video interview posted Friday.

What we’re seeing now is helping those customers to take even further and build out more of that proactive approach and take rather than just at the endpoint, be able to take all of their cybersecurity tools and all the intelligence coming across their organization and help to correlate and automate that into more of a holistic view and really put them in best position,” he added.

O’Donnell also shared his views on the role of partnerships with other technology companies to help government customer address their cybersecurity needs.
