Tom Davis, former congressman of Virginia and chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee in 2000 and 2002, received the Technology Good Scout Award from the National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America in 2002.
The former lawmaker functioned as Good Scout chair in 2020, when NCAC held a virtual event to recognize ManTech Chairman Kevin Phillips as one of its honorees.
During his nearly 15 years in the House of Representatives, Davis served as chief author of the Services Acquisition Reform Act, Federal Information Security Management Act, Federal Acquisition Reform Act and about a hundred more legislation pieces that became law. He was a supervisor on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors earlier in his career, or from 1980 to 1994.
Davis currently works as a lobbyist for the Holland & Knight law firm.
ExecutiveBiz featured Tom Davis as part of Executive Mosaic media group’s coverage of Good Scouts who were recognized for their impacts in the tech sector and demonstration of scouting values.
