Michael Saylor, co-founder and executive chairman of MicroStrategy, was named the Technology Good Scout Award recipient of the National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America in 2000.
His career has been dedicated to growing MicroStrategy, which was launched in 1989 to advance business intelligence through graphical operating systems and client server computing. The company now supports thousands of organizations globally with enterprise analytics and mobility software under Saylor’s leadership.
Aside from being named inventor on more than 40 patents, Saylor is also known for his bitcoin investments. Forbes reported that he personally bought 17,732 bitcoins for $175 million in 2020.
