Seacorp has received a five-year, $79 million contract from the Office of Naval Research to create a battle management system to help enhance the U.S. Navy’s combat capabilities within the electromagnetic spectrum.

The company said Thursday it will work with subcontractors on the design, development and integration of the Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare Modular Suite as an experimental and operational unit.

The team of contractors will design, assemble, integrate and test a complete EMWMS system using communication and surveillance technologies, among others.

John Murphy, vice president of electronic warfare at Seacorp, said the company is excited to extend its support to the service branch through the further development of the EMWMS program.

Based in Middletown, Rhode Island, Seacorp is a small business that offers program management, product development and software and hardware engineering services to the Navy.
