Idemia’s North American subsidiary has implemented an onsite service at five airports as part of a Transportation Security Administration program that allows travelers to determine their eligibility for an expedited screening process.
The company said Monday its team of TSA PreCheck enrollment personnel offers the service through mobile carts for demonstration and deployment initiatives.
Passengers can register in five minutes or less and get their known traveler numbers in three to five days, Idemia noted.
The Jackson–Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport, the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport and the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport completed a two-week pilot of the PreCheck service.
TSA worked with the company to deploy the simplified security screening process at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and the Orlando International Airport on a long-term basis.
Idemia, which has supported the agency since 2013, plans to introduce the service to more airports throughout the country in the coming months.
