Zscaler’s artificial intelligence-powered secure access service edge platform was given High Authority to Operate certification under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
The FedRAMP authorization verifies that Zscaler Internet Access is capable of enabling federal agencies to connect to remote cloud environments, including software-as-a-service applications, without compromising the security of sensitive unclassified data, Zscaler said Monday.
ZIA is the only SASE Trusted Internet Connections 3.0 compliant platform that has achieved the highest authorization from the FedRAMP Joint Authorization Board.
“This FedRAMP High authorization elevates Zscaler and our support of the U.S. government as currently the only cloud security company with two FedRAMP High JAB authorizations in the market,” said Drew Schnabel, vice president of federal at Zscaler.
Zscaler Private Access, the company’s zero trust network access service, also received ready status at the High Impact level from FedRAMP in 2019.
“We are delivering FedRAMP High authorized cloud platforms, while helping agencies modernize and transform their legacy cybersecurity environments to cloud-based SASE and zero trust solutions,” said Stephen Kovac, chief compliance officer at Zscaler.
