T.I. Weintraub, a more than two-decade aerospace and defense industry veteran, has been tapped to serve as chief growth officer at cloud-based space communications technology provider Atlas Space Operations.
Weintraub joins the Michigan-headquartered company from BlueHalo, where he most recently served as director of business development for space and directed energy, Atlas said Tuesday.
In addition, he previously held various senior positions at several companies including Raytheon Technologies, Peraton, General Dynamics and ManTech International.
Weintraub is a 20-year U.S. Army veteran and his military career included roles such as military intelligence officer, imagery intelligence officer and acquisition officer.
His appointment comes after Atlas secured $26 million in a series B funding round led by Mitsui & Co. to expand the company’s Freedom Software Platform and Ground Software as a Service approach.
