Jonathan Mathers, a former HII senior executive, has joined Earth observation and satellite imagery company Planet as a business development manager responsible for overseeing Department of Defense and intelligence community projects.
Mathers previously served as a senior business development manager at HII focused on identifying opportunities for command, control, computers, communications, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Prior to joining HII, Mathers worked for Meta Special Aerospace as a senior director leading business development and capture strategies for government, commercial and international ISR operations.
He also held business development leadership roles at global aerospace defense contractor Delaware Resource Group and executive search firm Orion Talent.
His career includes previously serving in various positions of increasing responsibility at the U.S. Air Force, including as an air battle manager and chief of tactical data links.
Established in 2010, Planet offers geospatial intelligence to support decision-makers in the agriculture, forestry, mapping and government sectors.
