The National Nuclear Security Administration has exercised five option years on a potential 10-year, $5 billion site support contract with a joint venture of HII, Jacobs and Honeywell International.
Mission Support and Test Services will continue to run the Nevada National Security Site in Nye County through Nov. 30, 2027, after the agency determined the extension was the “most advantageous method” to address agency mission requirements, NNSA said Wednesday.
MSTS won the NNSS management and operating contract in June 2017 after the agency conducted a full and open competition.
The 1,360-square-mile complex serves as a testing and training area for federal efforts to secure the country’s nuclear weapons stockpile.
