KBR announced on Monday that the company has received a three-year, $20 million contract to provide scientific support focused on airman readiness medical research, building on its existing research and development efforts at the Air Force Research Laboratory with an increased scope of work.
“With professional services ranging from biomedical to health science, human research and laboratory management, the Air Force regularly works with KBR to pioneer advances in human performance and medicine,” said Byron Bright, president of KBR Government Solutions and a 2022 Wash100 Award recipient.
KBR will provide the 711th Human Performance Wing with scientific and medical expertise to AFRL at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as well as investigate airmen readiness to include the biomedical impacts of air and space through a team of human health and performance specialists.
For more than 40 years, KBR has focused and supported human health and performance within the industry through AFRL, the Department of Defense and NASA.
