Mike Thomson assumed the roles of president and chief operating officer at Unisys following the company’s appointment of Debra McCann, former treasurer and senior vice president at Dun & Bradstreet, as executive VP and chief financial officer.
Unisys said Thursday with McCann taking over Thomson’s EVP and CFO responsibilities, the latter is now tasked to lead its four business units as well as its commercial and sales organization.
Thomson’s promotion was announced in November 2021 while McCann’s appointment is effective May 2.
Thomson will oversee the delivery of a range of offerings for digital workplace, cloud and infrastructure, enterprise computing and business process support to company customers. He has been with Unisys since 2015, working as corporate controller and principal accounting officer before becoming CFO in 2019.
McCann, on the other hand, will be responsible for overseeing company finance activities such as tax and internal audit, treasury, investor relations and financial planning and analysis. She brings to her new roles experience in working at D&B, IQVIA and AT&T and focusing on FP&A and other finance functions.
“Deb brings to Unisys significant experience in providing financial guidance to complex, public and global multibillion-dollar organizations across a variety of industries including technology, services, data and telecommunications,” said Peter Altabef, chair and CEO of Unisys.
Thomson and McCann will both report to Altabef.
