Lockheed Martin has received a $68.3 million contract from the U.S. Navy to deliver services and materials to the U.K. in support of its strategic systems programs.

The contractor’s space business will provide engineering, technical support services and deliverables needed for the U.K. Fleet Ballistic Missile Program, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Contract requirements are meant to ensure both emergent needs and planned schedule for milestones are met. Lockheed Martin Space will also provide spares, operational support hardware and U.K. resident technical support under the cost-plus-fixed-fee, level-of-effort and completion type contract.

Work will take place in Denver, Colorado; Valley Forge, Pennsylvania; Cape Canaveral and Titusville, Florida; Sunnyvale, California; Coulport in Scotland; and other locations.

The Navy expects the contractor to complete level-of-effort work by March 31, 2023, and a collaborative replacement materials experiments design by March 31, 2027.

Washington, D.C.-based Strategic Systems Programs will obligate $22.49 million in funding on the award.
