The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has added industry experts on industrial control systems and operational technologies to the public-private Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative.
JCDC-ICS will gather government officials and the industry to work on developing ICS/OT cybersecurity guidance and planning for the protection of critical infrastructure systems, the agency said Wednesday.
Jen Easterly, director of CISA and a 2022 Wash100 awardee, underscored the necessity of ensuring the security and resilience of ICS, an effort that required collaboration from the community.
“I’m excited to leverage our evolving JCDC platform to enable us to plan, exercise and collaborate with industry leaders to drive down risk to the systems and networks we depend on so greatly as a nation,” she added.
Initial members of JCDC-ICS will include existing JCDC Alliance partners and ICS companies Bechtel, General Electric, Honeywell, Schneider Electric and Siemens.
