Boeing will implement cloud computing and artificial intelligence platforms from Microsoft as part of a strategic collaboration that supports the planemaker’s digital transformation initiative.
The companies said Wednesday in a joint statement that Boeing aims to update its business processes and drive aerospace innovation with the use of data-driven technology.
Specifically, the Chicago-based company plans to centralize applications with Microsoft Azure and apply the latter’s AI tools to manage operations and customer service.
Susan Doniz, chief information and senior vice president of information technology and data analytics at Boeing, said the company seeks to address its cloud and digital strategies.
