Lookout has secured a provisional authority-to-operate certification from the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program’s Joint Advisory Board to market its endpoint-to-cloud data security technology to federal agencies.
The Lookout Security Platform is now available for government clients looking to protect agency data that are being accessed from any location through on-premises applications, software-as-a-service and other technologies, the San Francisco, California-headquartered security company said Wednesday.
The secure access service edge offering is developed to help agencies reduce risk during digital transformation, telework and other initiatives and meet the administration’s requirements for deploying zero trust architecture.
“The FedRAMP JAB P-ATO offers federal agencies the opportunity to more quickly and more effectively implement Zero Trust architecture and move away from obsolete, perimeter-based security approaches,” said Tony D’Angelo, vice president of U.S. public sector at Lookout.
The new authorization builds on a previous P-ATO for the mobile-focused version of the Lookout Security Platform.
