Aurora Insight has secured a strategic investment from geospatial intelligence provider Maxar Technologies and will use the capital to advance development of satellite technologies, expand into emerging markets and broaden its product offerings.
“By combining Aurora Insight’s spectrum data with Maxar’s high-resolution imagery, AI analytics and 3D capabilities, we can unlock new opportunities to support customers with valuable data in the 5G era and beyond,” Jennifer Alvarez, co-founder and CEO of Aurora Insight, said in a statement published Wednesday.
Denver-based Aurora Insight provides government and commercial clients with actionable data on wireless networks and spectrum by measuring the global radio frequency environment through satellite-based and terrestrial sensors.
The data analytics company will also work with Maxar to further advance its spectrum mapping platforms and come up with an RF-enhanced GEOINT platform to provide comprehensive geospatial insights for government and commercial clients.
