BigBear.ai has named Carla Fitzgerald, former Spireon executive, as its chief marketing officer, responsible for all product marketing as well as corporate and marketing communications.
Fitzgerald will be tasked with strategizing marketing efforts to drive revenue and growth in both the public sector and commercial markets for BigBear.ai’s artificial intelligence, cloud-based data analytics and cyber engineering technologies, the Columbia, Maryland-based company said Monday.
She will report to BigBear.ai CEO Reggie Brothers.
“Carla has deep experience spearheading revenue-driving initiatives for companies across a wide range of technologies and industries, including predictive analytics, ERP and fleet management,” said Brothers, a 2022 Wash100 Award winner.
Fitzgerald has been working in B2B-centered technology marketing for over 25 years. At Spireon, Fitzgerald was the CMO and won “Female Executive of the Year” from American Business Association while in the position. Before that, she held senior-level positions at Smith Micro Software and Evolution Food Company, among others
In her new role, Fitzgerald will be expected to strengthen brand awareness for BigBear.ai’s SaaS model AI-powered technology. She will identify new business opportunities and create a receptive environment for customers’ voices.
Fitzgerald shared that she was excited to join BigBear.ai during a time of expansion for the company, having just gone public. She also noted that “demand for AI and predictive analytics is growing every day.”
In December, BigBear.ai completed their merger with GigCapital4 and became a publicly-traded company with a pro forma enterprise value of almost $1.38 billion.
