Federal contractors Significance and Koniag Government Services have teamed up to provide implementation and sustainment support for the Department of Defense’s web-based integrated financial management platform.
The two companies said in a joint statement Monday they will continue offering strategic direction and thought leadership to DOD organizations transitioning to the new Defense Agencies Initiative finance system.
According to the Defense Logistics Agency, DAI is aimed at transforming defense agencies’ budget, finance and accounting operations in support of financial accountability and decision making.
Significance, a women-owned small business, is currently helping the U.S. Marine Corps transition from its legacy accounting system to DAI while Koniag, an Alaska Native Corporation, has been supporting other agencies with their DAI-related efforts since 2018.
“We have built tremendous capabilities in this area, and we now will be able to help move the Marine Corps and other clients into post-deployment sustainment of the system far more quickly and with less time and paperwork,” said Mary Ahern-Snyder, president and founder of Significance.
