Gary Sladic, vice president of finance and accounting at Noblis, was appointed as deputy chief financial officer who will eventually assume the CFO role in July 2022 when longtime company executive Mark Simione, currently its senior vice president, chief financial and administrative officer and treasurer, retires.
The company said Monday Sladic brings to the deputy CFO role 25 years of experience overseeing government contracts and financial systems for Noblis to help ensure its long-term financial stability.
Sladic will co-lead all of the company’s finance-related activities such as accounting, tax, audit and treasury initiatives.
“[Sladic’s] deep institutional knowledge, demonstrated financial acumen and leadership skills will serve him well in his new role as CFO,” said Amr ElSawy, Noblis’ president and CEO and a two-time Wash100 Award winner.
Commenting on his upcoming retirement, Simione said, “As one of the first executives to help establish Noblis in 1996, my tenure with the company has been an incredible journey.”
He joined then-Miterek Systems from Mitre nearly three decades ago.
