Michael Shrader, vice president of innovative and intelligence solutions at Carahsoft Technology, said government agencies should adopt emerging technologies amid evolving operational challenges and mission and changing needs of citizens and should work with companies providing such technologies.
“Why? Because emerging-tech companies have the agile mindsets and business models to help you anticipate and respond to the challenges your agency will face in the future,” Shrader wrote in a blog post published Friday.
Shrader noted that agencies should be on the lookout for tech companies that are driving innovation around artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
“These companies are developing new capabilities and spinning up new use cases to help agencies reduce risk and vulnerabilities, and make intelligent, data-driven decisions,” he added.
Shrader also discussed how Carahsoft supports emerging tech companies through its demand generation and marketing resources and network of prime contractors and value-added resellers. He noted how Carahsoft’s partnership with consulting firm Marion Square could help tech companies gain access to market intelligence and develop go-to-market plans to bring their offerings to the public sector.
