TYSONS CORNER, VA, Oct. 19, 2021 — Criterion Systems established SAGE Black as its wholly-owned subsidiary operating under its intelligence solutions business unit after the cybersecurity and information technology company completed its acquisition of the software engineering services provider, GovCon Wire reported Sept. 29.

Promod Sharma, president and CEO of Criterion, said both companies’ core competencies are aligned and the transaction offers new artificial intelligence and machine learning and software engineering to intelligence community customers.

“[The move, in addition to two other earlier acquisitions,] provides Criterion with a deep bench of expertise that will benefit both our IC customers and the company as a whole,” said Steve Mast, chief financial officer of the company and lead of the new subsidiary.
