Cognosante has helped establish a new consortium focused on delivering Health Information Exchange as a managed service to support health care improvement efforts.
The company said Wednesday it is one of the founding members of Collabrity Health, an alliance of HIEs and health care vendor partners that seek to share among consortium members interoperability resources, privacy controls, infrastructure and security to scale service development and delivery.
According to Cognosante, Collabrity Health participants work to achieve HIE functionality enhancements and expand revenue opportunities with shared service offerings.
Erick Peters, chief technology officer at Cognosante, shared that HealtHIE Nevada and Rosetta Health are two of Collabrity Health partner members and together, they will help HIEs ensure fiscal and business sustainability in addition to enhancing health care services.
“Collaboration is always at the core of success. This new shared resource model helps HIEs bring their solutions to market faster, ultimately improving the efficiency and quality of health care delivery,” he said.
Cognosante is a provider of health care consulting, technology products and business process outsourcing services.
“[The company’s] expertise in efficiently exchanging clinical and claims data across disparate systems is key to modernizing health care and improving outcomes for members,” commented Michael Gagnon, acting CEO at Collabrity Health.
