The Space Systems Command wants to identify potential sources that can meet technical and logistical requirements for the development of a space electromagnetic warfare operating location.
SEWOL will serve as consolidated operating facilities where the U.S. Space Force would plan and conduct space electromagnetic warfare operations, the ommand said Sept. 1 in a SAM.gov notice.
According to the sources sought posted by the SSC’s Enterprise Corps and Special Programs Directorate, the facilities will provide a common operating picture for SEW operations, deliver mission infrastructure, remotely operate SEW assets and maintain operational resiliency across missions.
SEWOL will initially operate in the continental U.S., then eventually spread out across dispersed locations. USSF will equip SEWOL with remote operations tools and the Meadowlands counter communications system developed by L3Harris Technologies.
According to the request for information, work under the potential contract for SEWOL would begin in the third quarter of 2022 and end in 2027.
Interested parties may submit responses through Oct. 21.
