BlackSky Receives NGA Contract for GEOINT-Enabled Monitoring of Global Economic Activity - top government contractors - best government contracting event

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency has awarded BlackSky Holdings a five-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a ceiling value of $30 million to monitor global economic activity and provide analysts and decision makers with relevant insights.

The geospatial intelligence company said Monday it will leverage its Spectra artificial intelligence tool that uses advanced AI and multisensor analytics in detecting objects that contribute to significant economic interest.

The platform, when integrated with BlackSky’s small satellite constellation, can deploy comprehensive satellite imagery for pattern-of-life monitoring and detecting anomalies.

The Spectra tool, which was launched in 2020 to support remote work amid the pandemic, also allows reviewing of multisource data feeds to help in event analysis.

Brian O’Toole, BlackSky CEO, said the award from NGA underscores the growing demand for automated and real-time geospatial data intended for faster decision-making processes.
