Magellan Federal, a subsidiary of Magellan Health, has appointed health care and social services veteran Anna Sever as senior vice president of strategy and growth.
Oscar Montes, CEO of Magellan Federal, said Sever fits both professional and culturally in her new position and will be a key leader for the company’s future.
“Along with her expansive experience in the federal healthcare space, she is also a military spouse with background in social work and a passion for helping others that aligns seamlessly with our mission here at Magellan Federal,” Montes added.
As SVP at Magellan Federal, Sever will be responsible for driving the company’s overall business growth and go-to-market strategies.
She brings to Magellan Federal more than two decades of leadership experience in government administration and public sector health care operations.
Throughout her career, Sever has been responsible for new business development, program development and capture management in the Medicaid and Medicare, behavioral health, child welfare and developmental disabilities areas at county, state and federal levels.
She notably served as a gubernatorial appointee, and as vice president of health strategy and business development at Maximus where she worked with the Department of Veterans Affairs on landmark programs including Community Care Network and CMS Eligibility Appeals Operations Support.
