Satellite communications company PathFinder Digital has received follow-on orders for BAT-GBS-85 mobile very small aperture terminals in support of the Department of Defense’s Global Broadcast Service program.
BAT-GBS-85 is an airline-checkable and flyaway MVSAT system that operates on the Ka and Ku bands and has certification under MIL-STD-810G and ARSTRAT standards, PathFinder said Friday.
The terminal enables one-way broadcast of videos on the GBS network to aid military missions and facilitate the transfer of theater information.
Roger McGarrahan, PathFinder CEO, said the terminal will be fielded to several U.S. military branches for operation on the GBS network.”
In April 2020, BAT-GBS-85 received certification to operate on the Wideband Global Satcom program.
