John Broglio, a nearly three-decade executive at Trident Systems, has succeeded Nick Karangelen to serve as the company’s president following the latter’s retirement.
Broglio has been with Trident since 1993, holding several positions of increasing responsibilities, such as program manager and more recently, as executive vice president for operations.
He led efforts to commercialize technologies from research and development projects, and helped the company achieve compliance with the International Organization for Standardization.
The executive also drove Trident’s presence in the national security and defense markets. Previously, Broglio served with the U.S. military as part of a submarine force.
Karangelen retired as Trident’s president but the company founder will continue to serve as chairman.
Trident offers a range of technology-centric products and services to defense, intelligence, commercial and international customers.
