The Defense Health Agency has awarded Perspecta, which now operates as part of Peraton, a $12.1 million bridge contract to continue support services at DHA’s global service center for information technology.
DHA issued the potential one-year contract extension as it needs more time to complete the transition of center operations to the new Enterprise IT Services Integrator, which is in line with DHA efforts to assume oversight of the Military Health System and medical facilities, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
The sole-source award includes work to optimize GSC infrastructure performance and update processes at the center.
HP Enterprise Services, whose series of merger deals led to the formation of Perspecta, was awarded a $91.5 million task order in November 2015 for the operation and maintenance of the DHA GSC.
