A Raytheon Technologies business unit will manufacture additional GBU-53/B StormBreaker glide bombs for the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy under a $212.7 million lot 7 production contract.
The contract to Raytheon's missile and defense group will also include classified foreign military sales of the precision-guided weapon technology, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Work covers the production of all-up-round munitions along with containers and runs through Feb. 28, 2025.
USAF will obligate $129.7 million on the award, while the Navy will pay $43.5 million for its procurement share. The remaining $39.5 million will come from FMS funds, the DOD noted.
The AF Life Cycle Management Center is the contracting activity.
