The U.S. Navy has selected Gibbs & Cox to provide maintenance support services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Philadelphia under a potential five-year, $20 million contract.
Work under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity will support the center's materials, structures, environmental and protection department through April 2026, the company said Tuesday.
"This builds on our long-standing relationship with NSWC Philadelphia and we are very proud to have been selected for this award," said Jonathan Applequist, vice president of Gibbs & Cox's maritime services group.
Gibbs & Cox is being acquired by Leidos for approximately $380 million in cash as part of the latter's maritime market expansion push.
Reston, Virginia-based Leidos expects to complete the acquisition in the second quarter of its 2021 fiscal year.
