Adita Karkera, formerly deputy chief data officer for the state of Arkansas, has joined Deloitte Consulting’s government analytics and cognitive practice as a data and artificial intelligence architect.

She will advise CDOs in federal and state agencies on their AI and data strategies and serve as a fellow in Deloitte’s AI Institute for Government, the company said Thursday.

“Adita’s deep experience in data as Arkansas’s deputy CDO and her credibility in the community as a trusted advisor and innovator makes her a tremendous addition to our CDO advisory services team,” said Jason Manstof, principal with Deloitte Consulting and leader of the strategy and analytics practice. “We are thrilled to have Adita joining Deloitte to support federal and state agencies through their data journeys.”

Karkera worked for nearly two decades at the Arkansas Division of Information Services in Little Rock. She started as a database administrator and assumed the role of deputy state CDO in 2017. She was named to the state’s COVID-19 technical advisory board to recommend technology platforms to help fight the pandemic.
