This marks Felix’s first Wash100 Award. Felix, former executive vice president and chief operating officer at ASRC Federal, was promoted to president and chief executive officer in April 2020.
“I’m very pleased to lead ASRC Federal and work together with our 7,000 employees, who serve customers across the United States and overseas,†Felix said, following her promotion announcement.
Since her promotion, she has led the company to achieve notable growth through winning major contract awards and rebranding initiatives that have solidified ASRC Federal’s position as a leader in the government contracting (GovCon) community.
In Oct. 2020, Felix spearheaded ASRC Federal’s rebranding efforts, including updating its logo design, tagline and website, to create a positive impact on federal government programs. The initiative highlights ASRC Federal’s corporate legacy and heritage through capability-driven messaging.
“The new ASRC Federal brand demonstrates our evolution as a company and represents us more effectively as we deliver our full breadth of expertise. We also believe the new brand will enhance our ability to recruit top talent across the country in support of customer missions,†Felix said.
Felix also spoke to ExecutiveBiz regarding the company’s rebranding. During her interview, she discussed how ASRC Federal’s offerings have evolved, the new focal points of the company, how COVID-19 has impacted the workforce and how she has worked to recruit and retain talent in the field.
“Our new brand reflects who we are, who we aspire to be as a company and how we deliver our services to customers: with quality, passion, focus and humility. We feel that it really represents a continued focus on delivering to our customers, with our culture and employees at the core of our success,†Felix told ExecutiveBiz.
Following the rebranding, an ASRC Federal subsidiary, NetCentric, secured a massive contract award, worth up to $379.8 million, to deliver engineering and operations support for Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico.
ASRC Federal NetCentric will deliver general management, engineering, operations and installation and emergency management services in support of Kirtland AFB’s civil engineering work under the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.
Entering the new year, ASRC Federal, led by Felix, will leverage its momentum from 2020 to drive growth throughout 2021. The company has already increased revenue, winning a $212 million contract from NASA in Jan. 2021.
Under the contract, the company will provide professional services and IT support as part of the NASA Research and Education Support Services (NRESS) team. The NRESS contract also sustains support to the customer’s Office of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Engagement.
The ASRC Federal ADS team will support NASA’s peer review life cycle and research objectives of four directorates: Aeronautics Research Mission, Human Exploration and Operation Mission, Science Mission and the Space Technology Mission.
“Our team will continue to focus on providing expertise to NASA’s basic and applied research, technology development and STEM engagement programs that fund leading-edge science, engineering and technology research needed to advance NASA missions,†said Felix.
Executive Mosaic congratulates Jennifer Felix and ASRC Federal on her first Wash100 Award selection. Her notable expertise and leadership have expanded the company’s footprint in the federal market, and has established Felix into a top level of achievement in the GovCon sector.
