Dewberry has secured a contract extension from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to continue monitoring construction projects and providing other support services in the Northern Mariana Islands.Â
Work under the extended Logistics Construction Support Contract task order will cover the management of more than 600 housing repair and construction efforts on the Tinian and Saipan islands, Dewberry said Friday.
The company will assess houses and carry out engineering support, construction and retrofit work. Dewberry will also address flood mitigation and topographic survey needs under the award.
FEMA's initial task order award to Dewberry began in June 2019 and provided for work to oversee repair and construction activities following Super Typhoon Yutu.
Dewberry noted it oversaw more than 15,000 construction projects after it received an initial task order under the contract in 2019.
FEMA expects Dewberry to conclude work by June 4, 2021.
