Deloitte Survey: Most Companies Interested in Advanced Wireless Tech - top government contractors - best government contracting event

A global survey conducted by Deloitte indicates that four out of five enterprise networking executives consider advanced wireless technology as vital to the deployment of cloud and edge computing, internet of things, big data analytics and artificial intelligence platforms.

Ninety-nine percent of 437 information technology and line-of-business leaders in nine foreign countries who responded to the poll said their companies plan to adopt those platforms as part of digital transformation initiatives, Jack Fritz and Dan Littmann, principals at Deloitte’s consulting arm, wrote in a joint article for The Wall Street Journal's CIO Journal.

Participants in the study oversee connectivity functions in organizations pursuing or planning to implement 5G or the sixth generation of Wi-Fi within three years.

Research data showed that 59 percent of respondents who expect to increase wireless investment efforts due to the COVID-19 pandemic is aiming for organizational resilience to business disruptions.

Deloitte conducted a global edition of its advanced wireless adoption study during the fourth quarter of 2020 as an extension to a survey of 415 US-based networking executives early last year.
