A global survey conducted by Deloitte indicates that four out of five enterprise networking executives consider advanced wireless technology as vital to the deployment of cloud and edge computing, internet of things, big data analytics and artificial intelligence platforms.
Ninety-nine percent of 437 information technology and line-of-business leaders in nine foreign countries who responded to the poll said their companies plan to adopt those platforms as part of digital transformation initiatives, Jack Fritz and Dan Littmann, principals at Deloitte’s consulting arm, wrote in a joint article for The Wall Street Journal's CIO Journal.
Participants in the study oversee connectivity functions in organizations pursuing or planning to implement 5G or the sixth generation of Wi-Fi within three years.
