Amazon Web Services has granted Slalom a security competency status, recognizing the Seattle, Washington-based business and technology consulting firm's ability to support customers' cloud integration and deployment efforts.

The company said Thursday the AWS Security Competency designation reflects Slalom's end-to-end cloud security and adds to the company's range of AWS competencies in digital customer experience, health care, software as a service and other areas.

"Earning the AWS Security Competency showcases the maturity of Slalom’s security capabilities, the technical rigor of our AWS consultants, and our commitment to challenging ourselves and innovating for our customers," commented Dave Cutler, general manager of Slalom’s global AWS team.

Slalom is an AWS Partner Network member and offers code and application scanning, risk assessment, threat modeling and other services to ensure that the development of digital products is secured. Its approach is based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Open Web Application Security Project, Cloud Security Alliance and Center for Internet Security standards and recommendations.

To date, the company has 14 competencies awarded under the AWS Competency Program.
